As paintball gets ever more popular amongst people, there are complex variations of the game being launched. Some paintball arenas offer exciting scenarios like a World War II setting. In these scenarios, players can adopt specific strategies for higher success ratios. Playing paintball in these environments is not just about running and shooting.
There are many different shooting techniques and to achieve maximum results you need to know which technique(s) to use. If you are shooting while lying down, you must remember that the accuracy of your shots will depend on the stability of your elbows. You should not depend on the stability of the front rest of the gun. It is not a good idea to lie down on your stomach completely unless you are trying to hide. The ideal position is to rest on your elbows and in the case that you need to lower yourself, you should move the elbows further out. This way you will also be able to move forward by crawling with your elbows and legs.
When hidden behind a bunker, you should sit with your legs straight forward. The advantage of this position is that you will be able to quickly move your head up to look above the bunker to shoot and then take cover again. Another advantage of sitting is that you can also shoot from the sides of the bunkers. Good reflexes are essential for paintball. Essex paintball facilities are ideal for people who want to hone their skills.
Kneeling is also a preferred position because you can start running immediately. It is also a fairly stable position and usually people can maintain it for a fairly long period of time. The gun has to be held at level with the eye. Whilst supporting yourself with one knee, you may lower or raise yourself using your back, so that you can run instantly if required.
The crouching position is effective when you have to suddenly stop moving and yet remain ready to run at any moment. To lower yourself, you may bend forward but you should always hold the gun against your shoulder. Although this is the best position to start running with, some people tend to stand upright and then run. This is useless simply because it is easier and better to start running without standing. This start will give you extra acceleration. However, you should remember that it is not possible to maintain this position for very long.
The standing position is used in cases where the distance between the shooter and the target is high. However, practice is required for such long distance shots. You cannot substitute practice and experience when seeking success in paintball. Essex has some amazing countryside where you can practice your paintball shooting skills.
